I was most interested in ReligionDestructors posts - his negative experiences of Buddhism. It generated some interesting reading. I was also following what was said with regard to the Ex-C Theism/Spirituality section.

I was also following the buddhism thread... I'm not particularly interested in buddhism myself, it seems sexist to me from what I have studied of it, much like I Ching or Taoism or similar eastern religions - it is very patriarchial. What's interesting to me is why people seem so defensive and protective of it, almost as much as christians are of their religion.

It was the fear of death thread, that one had my interest. Thanks for asking, I am new to this kind of interface, more used to MSN, and Yahoo groups thingy. This one so far seems pretty straight foreward, kind of nice.

ohhh yeah i was digging on that too. I figure it is just because a human wants to be correct. Or maybe it is the last hopefull bastian of a good religion. We hope there is at least one good religion out there. Or that may well be residaul brainwashing form when we had to think there must be a ONE becasue Christianity was it.

I defended Buddhism because something deep and mystical about it made sence to me. And it was a usefull tool. I dont care about what other humans do with it, but i defend Buddhism not them.
