Since the board with the thread is down and I want to keep folks updated I took Hans advice and am starting a thread here.

So far confirmed attendees are:

It's at 6:30 pm on the 15th of August at C I Shenanigans. I'm camping along with Earljail and Loren Pechtel at the KOA campground in Spokane Valley. Paraplegic Squirrel is flying in from San Jose and staying at the Ridpath motel.

Well I've mentioned I'd like to meet up... since I live right here in wonderful, sunny Spokane. That will depend on what is going on with my husband (he is waiting for a heart transplant for those who didn't know). Tonight things are not so good, so not sure how everything will be on the 15th - but if things are more stable by then, and if you guys aren't afraid of meeting me (!) sure I'd like to meet up.

'Tween the goddamn repairs I need done on both my car and bike and the ticket I got the other day for "offences" which wouldn't have merited anything more than a "fix it" warning if it were anyone other than a fucking Sandy cop, I'll be lucky if I can afford a candy bar in the next six months, let alone actually get to leave town anywhere.

Wish I could make it, but I hope y'all have a good time. I'll just have to make a point now of heading to Russia sometime to meet Don.

You know, I think you should be able to start a Group, where whoever wants to go just sign up as a Group member. And you can discuss different agendas, meeting places, times etc in threads belonging to just that group.

I also think it's a good idea if you start a Group for your district (Chapter), and people start joining the groups.

Just an idea. For now, I will create the Northwest Meetup 2008 as a Group for you. Just click on the menu on top to get there.
