This goes out to anyone willing to answer I'm a African-American fifteen year old, but people tell me I have the worries of an adult. I made this tread to ask a controversial question, How do you know God exists and also what makes the Christian religion right, but the others wrong? I've been struggling with this for a years now and have been studying other religions and doctrines in order to discern the truth but have met with failure so I came here hoping to find answers. Plz assist me to ignorant or disrespectful individuals stay away from this thread.
Perhaps you misunderstand. We are former Christians. We don't see the Christian religion as "right". Where they are "wrong" is exactly where you question them in their thinking they are right and everyone else wrong. We see that as arrogant and unjustified. Having been Christians who thought that way ourselves, we now find it to be lacking in every way. It caused us to see people who didn't think as we thought as lesser. It caused attitudes of arrogance within ourselves. It also was based on bad reasoning, in every imaginable way.
There is something better, a greater strength that exists beyond simply presuming you're right and everyone else is wrong. One is religion, the other is being alive - being human.
