Please keep sending me your poetry and other writings/messages. I don't always read the main blog, and I'd hate to miss anything from you! Thanks.

That picture was taken 5 years ago lol. I'm not sure what book it was, but it wasn't a bible lol.

Hahaha, that's why it's the only one I ever use for anything, this pic. Do you have msn? It would be nice to add you to my contacts to chat.

Thanks and I appreciate your wanting to switch to Spanish but is perfectly ok for me to follow a conversation in English :) My profession is graphic design, and have worked in my field, taught at the university for a while and currently am more focused in illustration. I was brought up in an evangelical home with very strong held convictions and a whole belief system that was based on the FEAR of God. Real fear is what could come from that hahaha. So, it was after a very intense personal experience (which are also very personal) that my mind began to question everything around me. I felt God failed me completely at some point and later on I found out how much I projected on this image of God my own misery. I never denied this inner awareness that there is something beyond forms. So that prompted me to be brutally honest with myself and to see what this inner awareness could lead me to. And I didn't like much what I found along the way. Most of all, I didn't like what I started to find out about myself and going through the stages of denial still to this day is what has been the most difficult for me. And is funny because for me it seems that is not about knowing more, but realizing that maybe I thought I knew too much...

Hi Aurelio. I'm very impressed how is it that until this time in your life where most of your relatives died that you seem to have the time to explore your own ideas. I detached my thought system from evangelical Christianity while still young, but still am aware of that inner presence which people call God. So, I'm not an atheist because that is just another ego trick to have a position about the world. Hope to see you around and talk.

I would also like to connect with likeminded San Antonians. There don't seem to be very many of us.

Hello Aurelio,
I can connect with you, but must admit I don't get a chance to log on too often. I am a newbie to this site and participate in other sites so my time is limited. It is an exciting forum to discuss alternatives to the fundie sects and to meet others who are more interested in Awareness than dogmas.

Take care.

It would be best to check out www.atheistnexus.org or thinkatheist.com. More activity there

Yours is the first interaction I've had with anybody on this site. Hope you liked the song on my profile. Wrote and recorded it myself. It explains exactly why I'm a Proud Atheist now.
